Beschreibung
In this game, players embody leaders of various cults who worship the Great Old Ones and fight against rival cults who consider each other unworthy to acquire and taste the forbidden knowledge. Not an easy task, because apart from worshiping their faith, they have to fight never-ending battles with the other wannabe cults while remaining hidden so as not to attract the attention of curious investigators or other organizations. The goal of their efforts is to increase the influence of the Great Old Ones and perform dark rituals to plant the seeds of madness and fear in people's minds. Should they succeed, it will unleash the power necessary to let the unspeakable into our world and hasten its demise...
The neighborhoods of Arkham serve as arenas for cultures to do their thing. In them they try to gain the upper hand by creating places of worship and holding rituals. They also encourage the other cults into open confrontations, which can lead to chaos within the cults and police interference.
