Blood Bowl - Wood Elf Pitch & Dugouts (engl.)

This set contains a double-sided, fold-out card Blood Bowl pitch and Dugouts depicting the home stadium of a Wood Elf Blood Bowl team. One side features the stadium at the height of summer, bursting with life and energy, and the other the same stadium after half-time when, if the hungering forest has been sated, an autumnal hush will descend, slowing the action and calming both players and onlookers alike.


A meticulously tended sanctuary, a Wood Elf Stadium is a picturesque home for trees, forest spirits, and the noble art of the Blood Bowl. In the forests of the wood elves, time behaves strangely and the trees around the playing field cycle through the seasons in response to the progress of the game. Sometimes the playing field is lush and green, and roots quickly burrow across the playing field to greedily sip the blood spilled while players are empowered by the abundance of life force. When its hunger is satisfied, the forest calms down and falls into the peaceful slumber of autumn, whereupon forest spirits emerge to tend the wounds of injured players.


The Arboreal Sanctuary pitch has two sides - one representing the bold energy of summer, the other depicting the calm of autumn as woodland spirits emerge from their homes singing soothing melodies. If both players agree then the following rules can be used to represent these unusual conditions.

The green-tree and vibrant side of the pitch is used during the first half of the game. This pitch respresents the forests in summer bursting into life, its trees invigorated by the energy of the game. All players may attempt to Rush one more time than normal (three times for most players, and four if a player has the Sprint skill). If during the first half, three or more Casualities have been suffered in total across both teams, the forests aggression has been sated and the season changes. For the duration of the second half of the game, the following rules apply:

As the forest shifts is mood to one of peace and goodwill, players find themselves less willing to injure their opponents. Subtract 1 from all Armour rolls as part of a Block or Foul action. In addition, add 1 to the result of all dice rolls made to see whether a player recovers from being KOd, as woodland spirits emerge from their tree hollows to care for the injured.
